get it designed… get it to work… get it to the world…

Welcome to WEBsmith internet consultants main website presence. We thank you for looking around. Take your time and find out what WEBsmith is all about. One of the many questions we get here at WEBsmith is 'why do I need a website? Why do I need to spend the money?' The simple answer is because your competitors will. Then we hear doesn't custom design cost more? Why can't I use a software package and save money? That is when we like to share our '5 RULES FOR USING A CUSTOM WEBSITE DESIGNER/DEVELOPER TO YOUR ADVANTAGE'.

1) Be creative. The funny thing about custom is you can have whatever you want. Don't worry about the software package that claims to - do it all - and can't. You can get more. Check out all the websites and discover all the design elements that you like. Bring them to us and together we'll lay it out.

2) Be patient. If you can allow a few months to complete a project, you can often have custom work done cheaply. People want three things: fast, cheap, high quality. You can have only two of these, so you have to pick.

3) Be Present. When you have something custom made, there should be a loose schedule set up so you can visit and see the work before it is completed and delivered. Catch changes early - after a certain point - they become very expensive.

4) Be component wise. Understand on a functional level what the technology can do. Then - with guidance - the best components can be selected. The more functionality, the more time, the more expensive. Everything is a factor of time.

5) Be nice. We're willing to work with people's budgets, but we have to like them.
